History
The Gateway Christian School is an independent, mixed, Christian primary school, founded in 1989 by the Parochial Church Council of the Parish of Stanton-by-Dale with Dale Abbey.
- The school was opened in September 1989 with one class for children aged 5 - 7.
- In September 1990 a second class was opened for 7 - 11 year olds.
- Three years later, in 1993, a Nursery class was opened for 3 - 5 year olds.
- In April 1997 a Mother and Toddler group called See and Know was started in the Nursery building meeting one morning per week.
- The nursey now meets at the Old School Christian Centre, Stanton-by-Dale.
- The School is managed by a Board of Governors, the Chairman being the Rev'd. Canon I.E. Gooding.
The Gateway Christian School is a Charitable Limited Company, Registered Charity Number 1014613, Registered Company Number 2744893.
Misson Statement

The GATEWAY CHRISTIAN SCHOOL is a community of people, including children, their parents, teachers and others who take part in the life of the school. It exists to enable children to fulfil their potential spiritually, socially, emotionally and academically in co-operation with their parents according to Christian principles and beliefs.
Vision Statement
To give children an all-round education which will equip them to make a positive impact on the world around them as a result of their knowledge of the love and character of God.
